Skin Care

What is Skin Care?

Skin Care: The term “skin care” is a general term. It encompasses both the cleansing of the skin and anti-aging treatments.

The skin produces secretions such as oil and sweat thanks to its special structures. Dermal cells (skin cells) that have completed their task form a layer of dead cells on the surface. Skin cells need various resources such as vitamins, minerals, polypeptides (proteins), and enzymatic catalysts to live. Like any consumption, skin activities also lead to waste materials.

How Should Skin Care Be?

Skin care and support should address all of these sub-headings:

  • Strengthening building blocks such as elastin and collagen,
  • Providing all vital substances and water needed by dermal cells,
  • Removing excess or residual consumption and production waste and keeping it away from the environment.

After a new skin cell is produced deep within the skin, it takes about 1 month to progress, age, and turn into a dead skin cell until it reaches the outermost level of the skin. Therefore, skin care should be repeated monthly even in normal skin to remove dead cells from the skin. In oily, acne-prone skin types, this period should be shorter.

It is crucial to select products that are suitable for the individual during skin care. Product selection should be made according to the person’s skin type. Making an accurate determination of skin type is the key point of skin care. Many practitioners know the normal, dry, oily, combination, and sensitive states of the skin. A skilled skin professional is also knowledgeable about the intermediate groups of these types. This determination determines the success of skin care. Because, in the simplest terms, a skin can be oily, dry, and sensitive at the same time.

In practice, skin care consists of preparation cleaning, peeling, steam application, deep cleansing, revitalization, and product application stages. Skin care starts with cleansing the skin of makeup and environmental residues. The peeling stage is the stage where the dead skin of the skin is cleaned with a granular (particle-based) dermocosmetic material. Then, depending on individual and changeable durations, the skin is prepared for deep cleaning with steam application. The softened skin continues with acne, comedone, and dead cell cleaning. Professional skin care units can be utilized in this stage and in the revitalization stage. The last stage is the product application stage for repair, renewal, and anti-aging purposes according to the individual’s needs.

Good skin care, with the use of correctly selected products and masks in the same session, can target all surface and deep cleansing, moisture balance or oil balance establishment, pore tightening, and anti-aging treatments.

How is Skin Care Done?

  • Skin care products, necessary materials, session intervals, and how long the sessions will last are all determined according to the individual. Once the person’s skin type, the required treatment, and which materials will be suitable for the skin type are determined, the treatment begins.
  • The first stage of skin care is cleansing the person’s face with a cleanser suitable for their skin type.
  • After these procedures, a peeling is performed on the person, and steam is applied depending on the person’s skin sensitivity.
  • With the peeling and steam process, the pores are opened, and acne is cleaned.
  • After cleaning the pores with suitable tonics for the skin, moisturizing is applied.
  • After moisturizing, a mask is applied.
  • After removing the mask, skin care is completed by applying a toner to tighten the skin and massaging it.
